About MetaGlance

MetaGlance is a JSON web service developed by Eduworks that generates metadata and classifies web pages, documents, and text passages. MetaGlance is free to use (within some reasonable limits). Paid subscriptions provide higher limits and access to premium support.

How Does MetaGlance Work?

When a file (e.g. a web page or document) is submitted to MetaGlance, it is deconstructed and analyzed using a large number of natural language processing, statistical and other techniques. The results are then combined to populate metadata elements that are then returned to via a web service call.

Can MetaGlance be Customized?

Yes. The MetaGlance web service can be customized to return custom metadata including your own classifications.
